Do we need to replace our existing TVs?
No. CallaStream works with any TV that has an HDMI port — including older models you already own. All you need is an Amazon Fire Stick ($30–50) plugged into the HDMI port. Most schools already have suitable TVs throughout the building.
Can non-technical staff manage the screens?
Yes — that's exactly who it's designed for. Your administrative assistant, receptionist, or communications coordinator can manage all screens without any training beyond a short walkthrough. If they can upload an image to Google Drive, they can run CallaStream.
Can we show different content in different areas of the school?
Yes. Each screen is managed independently. Your cafeteria can show the lunch menu, the lobby can show the bell schedule, and the gym can show the sports calendar — all from one dashboard, all updated simultaneously or independently.
Can content switch automatically throughout the school day?
Yes — with the Scheduler plan. Set morning announcements to display from 7:30–8:00 AM, the bell schedule from 8:00–11:30 AM, the lunch menu from 11:30 AM–12:30 PM, and after-school activities from 2:00 PM onward. All automated.
What happens if the school WiFi goes down?
Screens keep running. CallaStream caches content on each Fire Stick device, so a WiFi outage won't cause blank screens. Content continues playing until the connection is restored and new content is pushed.
